Steve Paterson - Equity Release & Later Life Finance Specialist

Meet our Director and Lead Advisor

Steve is a fully qualified independent equity release adviser and business owner. He has worked in financial services for over 25 years.

In more recent history Steve has helped people who are nearing or past retirement age plan for their futures. It is a real specialist area and requires a good overall industry knowledge along with an up to date understanding of the products available to solve the real problems for this age group.

Equity Release has seen bad press over the years due to poor advice and even worse products.

As with many things, those products are a thing of the past and with the help of a good advisor, Equity Release is now beginning to redeem its name.

Steve is here to help people locate the absolute best product for their plans. He takes a real personal stance and enters every communication with an open and honest approach.

Having access to the whole of the equity release market provides Later Life Money with the options for you to consider. We never work on a hard sell and only ever offer advice based on you, your family, and your circumstances.

Steve has now been nominated for Financial Times 'Equity Release advisor of the year' two years running and has a particularly good name within the industry.

The list of reasons for our clients taking Equity Release products ranges from boosting their income, gifting to children and loved ones or to help them onto the property ladder, home improvements, repaying debt and much more.

Steve even made headline news in the Sunday Telegraph Financial column for helping a gentleman save his house. He nearly lost it, and all was but lost until Steve arrived. Steve does not like to let injustice go and he gave his all to save the gentleman’s home. They even keep in regular contact now and became friends through the experience.

Key to our success is taking the time to know you and your needs. In doing so, we often get to know your family too. It is important to make big decisions at this point in life together with those you love around you.

"I’m Steve, a North Easterner living in Newton Aycliffe. I love my community and love my family. I have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

I love to keep active with bike riding and circuit training. I have always had a real passion for boxing and chair the local boxing academy.

I value family, honesty and I get a real sense of joy in helping those around me".

What do Steve's clients say about him? “We can't thank you enough for your help and patience throughout the whole equity release process. We will be recommending you to all our friends and family. However, you eat far too many biscuits” - Mary from Glasgow
